Mission Statement

Our mission is to design, deploy and improve collaborative systems, processes and physical design, on institutional and departmental levels, that ensures all of your patients receive the highest quality of evidence-based care in a safe, reliable and seamless manner in an environment that supports the work-flow, safety and satisfaction of the ICU personnel.

What does DWKelley Associates, LLC Do?

DWKA specializes in systems design and integration, performance improvement, deployment of prophylactic care bundles and strategic planning for Critical Care Units and can improve how well your unit integrates within your institution and healthcare system. Our firm can even assist in the processes of architectural design to assure that your new or remodeled ICU not only provides “Best Practice” level of patient care; but also aid the architects to design the physical layout in a manner that supports the work-flow, safety and satisfaction of your critically important personnel.

A hospital or medical center’s critical care unit(s) is/are the foundation upon which all other aspects of care services stand. Without a highly-functional, well-integrated ICU, the level of care provided throughout your institution is necessarily limited. A top-performing ICU enables a facility’s other services to perform at a higher level confident that there is a solid foundation to assure that their patients’ full spectrum of needs are capable of being met and met well. However, too many critical care units routinely suffer from organizational inefficiencies, ineffectiveness, systems misalignment, IT dysfunction and physical environments non-supportive of patient well-being or staff effectiveness.

Remember, a system will perfectly produce and can only produce what it was designed to produce. If the end-product does not please you or fulfill your needs, then you must redesign the system. Further, the key to top-performance is in how you integrate your systems and subsystems. Let the professional consultants of DWKelley Associates, LLC help you to discover the sources of underperformance in your ICU.
